Players' Log: Day Five in Alaska - Junior Hockey News

I woke up this morning at 6:15 to get ready to go to the rink for the daily skate Coach Morris is holding. When we got there, I noticed that there weren’t very many people who wanted to show up that early in the morning. It was another fast-paced practice with a scrimmage after a few warmup drills. I got to play defense, the position I know the best today, it was a lot of fun taking away the other team’s chances of scoring even though it was just a pickup game.

After the skate, my roommate and I went back home for our second breakfast and a quick nap before heading to the gym for our workout with some of the players the Wolverines may be recruiting for their team this upcoming season.

After another great workout, we went shopping again for dinners to make for the next few nights. My roommate thought it would be a good idea to get some blackout curtains for our rooms since we are not used to it being so light outside all the time so we could get some solid rest for the next day.

After we made it back home, I went down to my room for a bit to watch some T.V. and before I knew it, I fell asleep for another hour only to wake up to dinner being ready. My roommate and my billet dad had made tacos for dinner, so while we ate, we watched the two playoff games tonight before heading to bed.
