This week's USHL Goalie of the Week is Lukas Parik.

This week the USHL Goalie of the Week is Lukas Parik of the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Parik wins our Goalie of the Week award for the first time this season. This weekend was a challenge for the Saints. On Thursday, the boys from Dubuque found themselves in a dogfight against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. At the end of regulation, the score was tied at five goals each but the Lumberjack’s Jacob Guevin beat Parik in OT. The next night the Saints faced the Green Bay Gamblers. This time Dubuque refused to lose. Parik let in four goals but his teammates on the other end scored eight goals to guarantee the victory.   Saturday was Parik’s time to shine. And he did. He shut the door on the Gamblers by turning away each of the 22 shots they fired at him.

Lukas’ statistics now stand at:

W:15 L:8 T:0 SO:1 GAA:3.35 SV%:0.867

Lukas Parik (20) is a native of Neratovice, Czech Republic. His youth hockey was played with HC Letnany and Bili Tygri Liberec. He began his North American Juniors career with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL, This season, Parik switched to the USHL and the Chicago Steel. He was drafted in 2019, in the third round (#87 overall) by the Los Angeles Kings (Unsigned).
