Northeast Generals vs. Sheridan Hawks
Sheridan controlled the game from the puck drop and their high powered offense proceeded to explode. The Generals goalies were the best players on the ice and the game would have been worse without some decent goaltending. Sheridan dominated their way to a 13-2 game.

Rochester Grizzlies vs. Texas Brahmas
Great game up and down from the first shift. Texas won the opening face off and proceeded down the ice to bury the first shot on net 15 seconds into the 1st period. From the drop of the next face off Rochester pushed hard to return the favor and scored moments later to tie the game at 1-1 early on. From there the rest of the game was to be as expected and was an excellent back and forth game. With Texas and Rochester playing a hard physical game at both ends of the ice and both goalies playing a solid game turning away 35+ shots each. The game came down to the wire with a late face off in the Rochester end after a failed empty net attempt Rochester called a timeout. Texas stacked the house off the face off which nearly worked as Texas won the draw and got the shot off!

Rochester pulls off a huge opening game win to start the tournament 4-3.

Look for more updates throughout the tournament. My updates are meant to be informative and fun.
