Youth Hockey Player of the Week - Junior Hockey News

Published: Wednesday, 10 Mar 2021
By: Michael Moore, is pleased to name Anthony Cappello as the Behind the Champ and Youth Hockey Player of the Week!

Seriously, it was a difficult choice between our Player of the Week and our Honorable Mention this week. Anthony is an ‘05 Center playing with the  North Jersey Avalanche.  In this week’s AYHL matchup versus the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Anthony led his team to a 6-2 victory. Notching two goals and an assist in the 3rd period, Anthony secured his hat trick and his place as our Player of the Week. Don’t believe me? Well you can see his hat trick in this video: invites all of you to congratulate Anthony Cappello for his outstanding performance this week.
Honorable Mention goes to: ‘04 Center, Colter Barnett of the Glasgow Ice Dogs. Returning to play from a Dach-like wrist injury, Colter has fought to improve all aspects of his game at both ends of the ice. He was named to the Montana First Team All-State at the high school tournament in Bozeman by averaging 2 points per game and completing a hat trick.

Congratulations to Colter and his Ice Dogs Team!

Thank you to all that participated in this event. Our next “Youth Hockey Player of the Week” competition will open at noon on Sunday.
