Published: Monday, 22 Feb 2021
By: Michael Moore

This is the first time that Nate Reid has earned our “Of the Week” honor.  This weekend he let in three goals. That is, over three games, he let in three goals. On Thursday, he was bested twice by the Youngstown Phantoms and made 28 saves. The Phantoms pressed harder on Friday throwing 33 shots at Reid. Only one made it through. Saturday the ‘Jacks took on the USNTDP team. Reid came into the game in relief for Jan Skorpik about halfway through the second frame. Nate denied all of the 17 shots he faced. With the exceptional play of Reid, Muskegon went undefeated for the weekend.

Nate's present statistics stand at:
W:6 L:4 T:0 SO:0 GAA:3.44 SV%:0.885

Nate Reid (20) is a product of Sun Prairie, WI. As a youngster, Nate refined his craft with the Madison Capitols, Cleveland Barons and Victory Honda. In 2018 he broke into Juniors playing with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the NAHL. His exceptional play in Alaska led him to the USHL where played with the Sioux Falls stampede in the 2019-20 season.  He has committed to play for Yale University beginning in 2021.
