Joey Strada is this weeks’ Great Western Futures Super Camp USHL Player of the Week. Strada put up an impressive week at the expense of the Tri-City Storm. On Friday, he gave Storm goalie: Daniel Allin a glimpse of what he could do. He scored an unassisted goal to open the game. His Bus would end up falling in the affair 5-2. It was the following game on Saturday that Strada and his Des Moines teammates would exact their revenge. By the end of the second period, Strada had tallied a pair of goals. Just over five minutes into the third, Strada would complete his hat-trick and retire Allin for the night. Joey would net one last goal in the Buccaneers’ 8-4 dismemberment of the Storm.

Forward, Joey Strada  (20) is a native of Scottsdale, AZ. Through his youth, Strada spent the majority of his development with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes of the Tier One Elite Hockey League. Joey played in the NAHL the last three seasons with the Aberdeen Wings. In his 2018-2019 season with the Wings, he won the NAHL Robertson Cup Championship.
