This week the Great Western Futures Super Camp USHL Goalie of the Week is Roman Durny of the Des Moines Buccaneers. This is the third time he has achieved this honor (the first time was the week of November 5th, 2018, the second was the week of December 11th, 2018). On Friday night, Durny faced 26 shots from the Lincoln Stars. He stopped all but one. Saturday, the Dubuque Fighting Saints threw 30 shots at Durny but he stopped every one of them. The victory marked Roman’s fifth shutout of the season.

Roman Durny (20) is an import from Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia. His younger years were spent playing with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš. Durny has also served as the Netminder for the Slovakian National team. He was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL draft (147th overall).
