Artem Ivanyuzhenkov is this weeks’ JuniorHockey.Com’s USHL Player of the Week. Yeah, we have no idea how it is pronounced either! Artem gave a very productive week to his Sioux Falls Stampede. In all three contests he played in this week, Artem managed at least a point. On Wednesday, he notched the game-winner in the Stampede’s defeat of the Fargo Force. Artem assisted Jami Krannila Friday night, on a goal with less than a minute to play, forcing overtime. Saturday, he made certain the Fargo Force would not forget him as completed a hat trick in Sioux Falls’ 7-4 defeat of Fargo.
Artem Ivanyuzhenkov (20) hails from Podolsk, Russia. The left-handed, left wing played two games for Vityaz Podolsk in the KHL. Most of his notable hockey achievements while growing up overseas, were made playing with the Russkie Vityazi Chekhov of the MHL. The MHL (Molodezhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga) is a major junior ice hockey league in Eurasia. He was ranked #73 by NHL Central Scouting in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Ivanyuzhenkov is still seeking a college offer.
