JuniorHockey.Com’s USHL Goalie of the Week: Jared Moe Junior Hockey News

Published: Monday, 21 Jan 2019
By: Michael Moore

This week the JuniorHockey.Com USHL Goalie of the Week is Jared Moe of the Waterloo Black Hawks. This is his second time achieving our Goalie of the Week honors. Moe played in more games than most USHL goalies this past week. In all three games, Jared got the win for the Black Hawks. If that were not enough, in two of these matchups, Moe was perfect and forced two shutouts. On Tuesday, Moe and his Black Hawks beat the Sioux City Musketeers 4-0. On Saturday, he posted his second shutout downing the Dubuque Saints, 5-1. In fact, Jared only let two pucks slip past him all week in his 4-2 victory Friday night, over the Saints. For the week, Moe stopped 69 of the 71 shots he encountered.

Jared Moe (18) is a product of New Prague, MN. His youth hockey years were split manning the pipes for Holy Family Catholic, Team Southwest and the Minnesota Blades. He has committed to play for his home–state Minnesota Golden Gophers, beginning in 2019-20.
