JuniorHockey.Com’s USHL Goalie of the Week: Alec Calvaruso Junior Hockey News

This week the JuniorHockey.Com USHL Goalie of the Week is Alec Calvaruso of the Sioux Falls Stampede. Calvaruso came up big this week for his Stampede teammates. Coming back from the holiday break Thursday, Alec held the Waterloo Black Hawks to only two goals. He followed that performance with another victory, this time on the road against the Fargo Force. He led his Stampeders to a 5-3 win. The two victories for the week put Calvaruso at 5-1 for the season. His Goals Against Average rating sits at an impressive 1.64 and his save percentage has improved to 0.934. 

Alec Calvaruso (20) is a product of Livonia, MI. His younger years were spent netminding for Detroit Catholic Central. His first season in Juniors was with the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL. His game there was impressive enough to land him a position playing with Colorado College. He played two seasons with the Tigers before returning to the Juniors. He remains presently uncommitted and undrafted.
