This week the JuniorHockey.Com USHL Goalie of the Week is Roman Durny of the Des Moines Buccaneers. This should come as no surprise to anyone after Durny stopped every one of 23 the shots he faced in his team’s 7-0, shutout of the Sioux Falls Stampede, this past Sunday. The blowout was the second victory for Durny for the week. On Friday, he held the Tri-City storm to only two goals in the Buccaneers 5-2 win. In the ten games he has played thus far, Durny has won seven. His goals against average is 2.38 and he presently boasts a .923 save percentage.
Roman Durny (20) is an import from Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia. His younger years were spent playing with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš. Durny has also served as the Netminder for the Slovakian National team. He was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL draft (147th overall).
