With a goal and an assist in each of the games played by the Sioux City Musketeers, Martin Pospisil is our USHL player of the week. Martin has been an active part of the Sioux City system this season. He finds ways to assist his teammates to the net quite regularly, averaging 2.15 points per game. With four goals this season, he has further strengthened his team’s offense by providing 11 assists. He is not afraid to mix it up either. His physical style of play however, may not be for everyone as he has spent nearly a half an hour in the penalty box over the course of seven games.
Martin Pospisil (18) is in his second season with the Muskies. Last year he accrued 8 goals and 29 assists in the 49 games he skated. At his present pace, Pospisil could be on track to eclipse those numbers greatly. Martin grew up in distant Zvolen, Slovakia. His early years were spent playing mostly with the Red Bull Hockey Akademie. In the 2016-17 season, Pospisil played for his native country of Slovakia in the IIHF U18 World Championship. In 2019, Martin will play for the St. Lawrence University Saints.
