On Friday September 28th 18 teams played games across the WHL. The Prince Albert Raiders beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-3 with the Raiders outshooting the Tigers 44 to 38. The Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Regina Pats 8-4 outshooting them 42-30. Dylan Cozens of the Hurricanes got a hat trick on the night.
The Edmonton Oil Kings beat the Swift Current Broncos 5-0 and outshot them 47-15. Oil Kings player Vince Loschiavo had two goals on the night. The Red Deer Rebels beat the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 despite being outshot 33-28. The Spokane Chiefs beat the Kootenay Ice 7-4 and outshot them 32 to 28. Kootenay player Brett Davis had two goals for the Ice.
The Seattle Thunderbirds beat the Vancouver Giants 3-1 despite being outshot 32 to 28. The Tri-City Americans beat the Portland Winterhawks 6-5 despite being outshot 28 to 25. Portland player Reece Newkirk had two goals for the Winterhawks. The Prince George Cougars beat the Kelowna Rockets 3-2 and outshot the Rockets 29 to 21. The Victoria Royals beat the Kamloops Blazers 3-2 in a game where the shots were even at 38 per team.
There are ten game scheduled for Saturday September 29th.
