On Sunday September 23rd the Everett Silvertips defeated the Portland Winterhawks 3-1. Everett outshot the Winterhawks 29 to 26. On Wednesday the Edmonton Oil Kings beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2. The Tigers ended up outshooting the Oil Kings 35 to 33. Brett Kemp scored two goals for the Oil Kings.
Also on Wednesday the Prince George Cougars got their first win of the season. They beat the Kelowna Rockets 4-2 but were outshot by the Rockets 29-24. Before Friday's games the top teams in each division are as follows.
In the East Division the top three teams are the Wheat Kings, Raiders and Blades. In the Central Division the top teams are the Oil Kings, Ice, and Hurricanes. In the U.S. Division the top teams are the Thunderbirds, Americans and Silvertips. In the BC Division the top teams are the Blazers, Giants and Royals. On September 28th 9 games are scheduled.
