Round 2 of the playoffs continue tonight in Canada’s British Columbia Hockey League. The teams we picked to advance went 3-1 in the first games of their series.
How will it go tonight?
Trail Smoke Eaters at Penticton Vees – Cam Keith’s Smokies gave it their all last night but still came up short on the road at Penticton. I love the Smokies but don’t think they are ready to knock the Vees off the pedestal yet. Penticton won’t sweep this series but I’m not seeing Trail having much success on the road. PENTICTON wins.
Wenatchee Wild at Vernon Vipers – Wow . That’s about all I can say about what happened last night at Kal Tire Place. When the Vipers start striking, it’s going to be hard to put a stop to it. Rule #1 still applies tonight. WENATCHEE wins.
Surrey Eagles at Prince George Spruce Kings – As bad as things went for Wenatchee last night, the Eagles had it worse. Surrey was not even close at PG, getting outshot 51-15 in the process of losing 9-1. Look for more of the same tonight. PRINCE GEORGE wins.
Powell River Kings at Victoria Grizzlies – The Kings picked up the first road win of Round 2 and it was a big one. As expected, the Grizz look like they are not feeling it. This one will end quickly if Victoria can’t get motivated. POWELL RIVER wins.
