DAILY DISH: Five for Friday Junior Hockey News

Late season North American Hockey League matchups are a bit easier to pick than those taking please earlier in the season. Let’s face it, we kind of know what to expect at this point…or do we?
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights at Johnstown Tomahawks – Do you want to hear something a bit ironic? The Tomahawks are the hotter team right now with a 4-5-0-1 record in the last ten games. So much for the would’ve, could’ve, and should’ves. Johnstown Wins.
Coulee Region Chill at Janesville Jets – Generally speaking, won/loss records get tossed into the win when rivals face off against one another and that’s certainly the case in this one. Home is an advantage. Janesville Wins.
Minnesota Wilderness at Brookings Blizzard – These two teams have a thing about shootouts when they get together. Problem for Brookings is that the Wilderness are pretty good at winning those contests. Wilderness Wins.
Amarillo Bulls at Corpus Christi IceRays – Make no mistake, I love to hate Amarillo. I also have a high level of respect for the IceRays and coach Brad Flynn so this one is easy. Corpus Christi Wins.
Fairbanks Ice Dogs at Lone Star Brahmas – The Ice Dogs win even more on the road than they do at home. Sorry Brahmas, but it’s going to take a heck of a needle to pop this balloon. Fairbanks Wins.
