Tampa Bay, FL- Adam Svodoba scored twice and added an assist to help lift the Florida Jr. Blades to a 6-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Juniors Saturday evening at the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex. The Jr. Blades remain undefeated winning 12 consecutive games since the start of the season.
Jonas Hostovecky kicked off the scoring for the Jr. Blades lighting the lamp 12:29 into the opening frame. Within six minutes, Svodoba tallied his first goal doubling the Jr. Blades lead. Tampa Bay struck back just 15 seconds later finding a way through Jr. Blades goaltender Fabio Meier to end the period 2-1.
Two minutes into the second period, Matt Larmoyeux flexed a shot into the back of the net past Tampa Bay goaltender Nate Anderson. Svoboda would shortly after find Shea Mitruska open who took advantage of the momentum to end the period 4-1.
Trevor Bednarek notched a short-handed goal just 53 seconds into the start of the third period. Svodoba fired a shot in between the pipes to secure the Jr. Blades 6-1 victory over Tampa Bay.
Fabio Meier earns the win stopping 16 out of 17 shots faced, while Nate Andersen takes the loss allowing six goals on 39 shots.
The Jr. Blades return to Germain Arena Sunday at noon to face Tampa Bay. The game is currently scheduled to be streamed on www.FastHockey.com
