Game Preview: Jr. Blades Return To Battle Hawks Junior Hockey News

Estero, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades will face the Palm Beach Hawks this Sunday at Germain Arena at noon. The Jr. Blades return to home ice after dominating the Hampton Roads Whalers Southern Showcase coming away with four straight wins. The Jr. Blades remain undefeated with a 10-0 record securing the top spot in the division standings. 

“We're excited to play on home ice on Sunday after a long, but successful road trip to Virginia last weekend,” said head coach Todd Pococke. “We’re playing well right now, but practice this week has been focused on those areas we need to improve.”

Forward Tyler O’Mara (21 pts) leads the Jr. Blades in point totals with eight goals and 13 assists. Trevor Bednarek (14 pts) and O’Mara both enter the weekend ranked in the league’s top five point standings overall.

"Coming off of the four tough games we had last weekend there’s a lot to look at in terms of what we needed to fix,” said assistant coach Tyler Carlston. “The week at practice was about those areas we can be better in."
