Estero, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades are currently tied for first in the division standings after successfully winning both games against the Tampa Bay Juniors last weekend. The organization is tied with the Carolina Eagles both obtaining a 6-0 record.
“As a whole I'm happy with how we played and proud of the boys for getting these two wins,” said head coach Todd Pococke. “We need to be smarter when we don't have the puck so we'll be working on that this week heading into the showcase Saturday.”
This weekend the Jr. Blades head to Chesapeake, VA to participate in the second annual Hampton Roads Whalers Southern Showcase. The Whalers Showcase will feature teams from the USPHL Elite South, USP3HL North and USP3HL South Divisions.
The Jr. Blades are set to take the ice for their first puck drop at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday against the Carolina Eagles. This game will take place at the Chilled Ponds Ice Sports Complex in the CRH Rink.
