I love it when a plan comes together. It’s nice when we are able to get
a player to a higher level of play within the same league.
Portland Jr. Winterhawks product Bailey Dorf (’99) is a young forward on a serious mission. The Wilsonville, Oregon
product has decided to join the United States Premier Hockey League Elite
Division’s Blaine Energy for the 2016-17 season.
Dork is the first Heisler Hockey Group player
to sign with a USPHL team this season. Dorf was seriously considering the USP3’s
Seattle Ravens before getting the opportunity with Blaine.
The good folks in Blaine are also excited to get him to town. “We are
all very excited for Bailey to become a part of the Energy. We are looking
forward in seeing his game develop,” Head Coach Chad Ballard said on
Thursday. “We can’t wait to see where
this game will take him from here.”
The forward has every intention to do whatever
it takes this season to impress the Western Hockey League’s Winterhawks at their
preseason camps next summer.
Nothing comes for free and great expectations are met with hard work. This
is one of those kids that get it.
Stephen Heisler has
