USHL scoring leader Rem Pitlick wins third weekly honor this season

 
The United States Hockey League announced the CCM Forward, Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week for Week 22 of the 2015-16 season. USHL scoring leader Rem Pitlick tallied a big seven-point weekend to earn his third weekly distinction, while defenseman Trevor Hamilton and goaltender Hunter Miska each picked up their second weekly honors this season. CCM Hockey is the official equipment partner of the USHL.
 
 
Forward: Rem Pitlick – Muskegon Lumberjacks
3 GP: 3 goals, 4 assists, +2 
 
The USHL scoring leader won his third weekly honor after scoring a goal in three consecutive games, while adding four assists to his weekend production. Sunday’s two-point performance was the 16th multi-point game this season. Pitlick has 15 points in nine games in February, and currently has 58 points in 39 games including 30 goals. The Plymouth, MN native is the first USHL player to reach the 30-goal mark this season; last season only six players scored 30 goals or more including first-round NHL Draft picksBrock Boeser and Kyle Connor. Pitlick currently holds the longest goal-scoring streak (8 games) and point streak (10 games) in the USHL this season. The second year NHL Draft eligible forward previously played for Shattuck St. Mary’s prior to being selected by the Waterloo Black Hawks in the 2013 USHL Phase I Draft in the 1st round, 12th overall and is committed to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota.
 
 
Defenseman: Trevor Hamilton – Lincoln Stars
2 GP: 1 goal, 2 assists, +4 rating
 
Hamilton has had an immediate impact with the first-place Lincoln Stars since being acquired earlier this month. In his first six games, the Penn State University commit has five points and a +6 rating, Hamilton dished out a pair of assists Friday night, including one on the game-winning goal to help push the Stars past rivaled Omaha Lancers 3-2. The Grosse Pointe Farms, MI native followed up the performance by scoring his ninth goal of the season on Saturday. Hamilton currently sits third in scoring for USHL defensemen with 31 points in 40 games this season. Hamilton was a 2011 USHL Phase II Draft pick of the Fargo Force in the 16th round, 234th overall and previously played for Miami University (NCAA), Chicago Steel (USHL), Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL), Team USA (USHL) and Honeybaked (T1EHL).



Goaltender: Hunter Miska – Dubuque Fighting Saints
2-0-0-0, 1.89 GAA, .949 SV%
 
Miska added two wins over the weekend to reach a tie for most wins in the USHL by goaltender this season, while helping Dubuque regain first place in the Eastern Conference. In back-to-back starts, Miska stopped a total of 74 shots en route to winning his third consecutive start. The North Branch, MN native is 24-8-1-0 this year with a 2.60 GAA and .912 SV%, and is 4-0-1-0 in his last five games. Miska was a 2013 Phase II USHL Draft pick by the Green Bay Gamblers in the 17th round, 250th overall and has played for the Penticton Vees (BCHL), Team USA (USHL) and North Branch High (USHS). Miska is committed to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
