The Eels dropped Tampa USP on Saturday night and today dismantled the Jr. Blades 5-3. This was huge for the Eels as they garnered another 4 points and denied the Blades of gaining any grown over the weekend. This was the Eels 20th win for the season. The Eels stand in first place in the Florida Division with 43 points. The next closest opponent is Palm Beach Hawks with 33 points. In 3rd is the Tampa Juniors with 27 points and the Jr. Blades with 25. Slightly below the Jr.
Blades are the Daytona Racers with 20 points. As one can readily discern the Blades are trying to capture Tampa and Tampa is trying to stay above the Blades. But lest not forget Daytona who needs just 3 wins to over take the Blades. The funny thing is the Eels have 3 games remaining vs. the Blades and 2 vs. the Racers. So much comes down to those 5 games. Moreover the Blades and Daytona have a pair of games against each other so for sure this will be a battle right down until the last whistle of the last game.
A recap of today’s game vs. the Jr. Blades.
