DAILY DISH:  Eastern Hockey League's Switch-a-roo-ski

The 2014-2015 USA Hockey Tier III Junior National Championships takes place today thru Monday in Simsbury, Connecticut.  As teams arrived Wednesday and Thursday the rumors of a problem within the Eastern Hockey League surfaced.

The Connecticut Oilers captured the EHL's playoffs championship but will not be representing the league at the championships.  Due to a clerical error in regards to a pair of import players the Oilers have been replaced by the Northern Cyclones, the team Connecticut beat in the finals.

Numerous calls to EHL staffed were not returned on Thursday.  Numerous Oilers players and families were calling us all day Thursday looking for answers.

The Cyclones will face the Dells Ducks, Granite City Lumberjacks and North Iowa Bulls in round robin play today through Sunday.
