CHEYENNE, WY. - The Cheyenne
Stampede, member of the Western States Hockey League, has announced that Eric
Ballard (Grand Rapids, Mn./Fresno NAHL) has agreed to terms to become the
team's new head coach.
The new coach was named by team
General Manager Mark Lantz.
Ballard spent last season on the
bench for University of Colorado Buffaloes American Collegiate Hockey
Association Division I hockey club. He spent to previous four seasons in
Fresno, three years as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Fresno
Monsters North American Hockey League team, and one as the Head Coach and
General Manager of the Western States Hockey League club.
Lantz is very excited to get the
veteran coach under contract. "We are extremely pleased to have Ballard taking
the reins of the Stampede and are expecting another huge growth year for the
franchise with Eric running our hockey club!"
