Kennewick, WA- Tri-City was as smooth as their pink and white jerseys tonight.

After surrendering an early goal, the Americans scored six straight, including two by Justin Feser and Jesse Mychan, helping the Tri-City Americans (35-22-1-2, 73 pts) to a 6-2 win over the Everett Silvertips (21-35-1-4, 47 pts) in front of 5,991 at the Toyota Center on the Eighth Annual Fred Meyer Breast Cancer Awareness Night.

Tri-City improves their record to 6-2 on BCA Night, including wins in the last three games.

The Americans have tied their season high win streak at four games. Tri-City has won three in a row against Everett and extends the Silvertips losing streak to 11 games.

Tyler Sandhu got the Silvertips off to an early lead. Austin Adam fired a shot from the point which was deflected into the net by Sandhu for a 1-0 lead 31 seconds into the game. The Americans tied the game late in the period as Mitch Topping fed a pass to Justin Feser at the bottom of the left face-off circle, slapping a one-timer into the goal on the power play. The Americans outshot the Silvertips 12-7 in the period but the teams were tied after one.

Tri-City picked up their play in the second period. Mychan sent a beautiful pass across for Feser on a 2-on-1 to score his second goal of the game and take a 2-1 lead. The Americans would increase the lead to two late in the period on the power play as Mitch Topping fired a wrist shot from the slot into the net. The lead would increase to 4-1 as Beau McCue would score his first goal coming back from an injury, putting home a rebound.

The Americans carried the momentum into the third period, as Mychan fired a loose puck in front of the net into the goal on the power play for a 5-1 lead. Mychan scored his second goal of the night later in the period to make the lead 6-1 Tri-City. Austin Adam scored for Everett with 0.2 seconds left, but it didn't affect the outcome as the Americans earned the victory.

With six goals tonight, the Americans have scored five or more goals in their last four games, outscoring their opponents 23-8 in that span.

Tri-City was excellent on special teams tonight, going 3-of-5 on the power play and killing off all four Everett power plays. That makes it five straight home games with a power play goal.

Feser played in his 339th career game, tying Dylan Stanley for second on the Americans all-time games played list.

Troy Trombley had 23 saves in his fourth straight win, while Austin Lotz and Daniel Cotton combined for 26 saves in the loss.

The Americans have no time to rest as they welcome the defending WHL champion Edmonton Oil Kings (43-14-2-3, 91 pts) to Kennewick on Feb. 23 for the lone game between the two teams this season. Game time is at 7:05 p.m. The Oil Kings are ranked third in the CHL's top ten rankings and are in first place in the Eastern Conference. Tri-City defeated Edmonton in the only meeting last season in overtime 5-4 in Rexall Place. NewsTalk 870 will broadcast the game beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show. WHL Live will stream the game online at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are still available at the Toyota Center Box Office, and Fred Meyer outlet, at any Ticketmaster location or online at Ticketmaster.com.
