The players of the week are voted on by league staff, coaches and general managers.

Kerr tallied back-to-back hat tricks as the Hounds swept the Holland River Bandits last weekend at home.

On Friday night, the 18-year-old HowellMich., native scored all three of his goals in the first period, including what would prove to be the game-winner, and added an assist for a four-point game.

Saturday night, Kerr again tallied the game-winning goal as part of his three-goal outburst.

On the season, Kerr has 26 goals and 58 points for Hartland and is currently riding a 10-game point streak in which he has recorded 23 points since the start of January.

Defenseman of the Week - Tyler TextorMichigan Ice Dogs

Now a three-time Defenseman of the Week winner, Textor scored a goal in the Ice Dogs' 9-2 win last Saturday over the GL Lightning and also played a sound defensive game.

The 19-year-old native of ErieMich., previously won top defenseman honors on Sept. 26 and Dec. 24.

Overall, Textor has tallied eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points, good for sixth in MWJHL defensemen scoring.

Bloomington split with the Michigan Grrrowl last weekend, but the 20-year-old from PalatineIll., earned the win in Saturday's 6-3 victory making 25 saves, including 18 in the first two periods.

This season, Carlson is 10-2-2 with a 3.71 goals-against average (sixth in the league) and a .906 save percentage (fourth). His 10 wins are tied for fourth as well.
