Talk about a road trip.
That's what the Holland River Bandits are in for this weekend as the team will play five Midwest Junior Hockey League games over five days.
The River Bandits play Thursday, Friday and Saturday night against the Rhinelander Street Cats at the Rhinelander Ice Arena before moving to play the Bloomington Jr. Blaze at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum Sunday and Monday afternoon.
In other matchups this weekend, the first-place Hartland Hounds host the G L Lightning Friday night at the Hartland Sports Center. The two teams last met last Saturday night in Hartland, with the Hounds picking up the victory.
After playing Hartland, the Lightning then take to the road for a two-game series with the second-place Soo Firehawks at the Big Bear Arena Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The Firehawks swept the River Bandits in a three-game set last weekend in Holland.
After this weekend, there are just six weeks left in the regular season as the playoff picture starts to come into focus.
