Despite a spectacular 61-save performance by Zach Woodman, the
New Mexico Renegades fell to the El Paso Rhinos, 1-0, Saturday, Jan. 19 at
Sierra Providence Events Center.
The Renegades continue to be decimated by injuries, dressing just 15 skaters for Saturday's game and having just 13 able to finish the game. The limited roster, plus the added pressure of facing the top team in the Mountain Division, makes the Renegades performance all the more impressive.
The ever-growing I-25 rivalry between the Renegades and Rhinos was on full display Saturday night, with two fights and a combined 72 PIMs.
The Renegades and Rhinos will faceoff for the final game of the series Sunday, Jan. 20 at Sierra Providence Events Center. Puck drops at 4:30 p.m.
