Forward: Brent Kallio, Rochester Ice Hawks.

Rochester Ice Hawks forward Brent Kallio was in a giving mood throughout the month of December. The Escanaba, Mich. native dished out a team-best 11 assists, helping him to an 18-point showing in the 11 games Rochester played in December. He had five multiple point games, including a three-assist output in the Ice Hawks Minnesota Division Shootout victory over the Wisconsin Rampage.

Also nominated: Jace Childs, Twin Cities Northern Lights, Matt Day, Rochester Ice Hawks, Jake Zarzycki, Rochester Ice Hawks.

Defensemen: Brady Devescovi, Maple Grove Energy
The Maple Grove Energy capped its best month in franchise history with six consecutive victories, aided in large part by defensemen Brady Devescovi. He finished the month with six goals and seven assists.

Also nominated: Dunk Abbott, Dells Ducks.

Goaltender: Adam Carlson, Steele County Blades

Steele County goaltender Adam Carlson continued his stellar play in the month of December, and in the process, helped the Blades capture their most notable victory so far in their inaugural Minnesota Junior Hockey League season. Carlson made 57 saves on 59 shots in a 3-2 victory over the Rochester Ice Hawks Dec. 8 for the first of what would be three December victories for the Edina, Minn. native. He also picked up victories over the Wooster Oilers and Tri City Ice Hawks during the Minnesota Division Showcase.
