Bellingham Burns Generals- The Bellingham Blazers extended their winning
streak to seven games with a surprising road sweep at Eugene. On Friday, Cody
Rich tallied three times in the first 23 minutes to give the Blazers a big 4-1
lead. Eugene scored twice in the 3rd but it was simply not enough.
On Saturday, Blazers goaltender Cody Foster stopped 38 of 38 shots to shutout
the Generals 4-0.
Warriors Ambush Vipers- The West Sound Warriors had their way with the
Vancouver Vipers this weekend, easily securing the two-game sweep. Friday night
in Vancouver, the Warriors got a hat-trick from Addison Edwards and six-point
efforts from Kai Wilkins (1g, 5a) and Jake McMullen (2g 4a) to steam-roll the
Vipers 11-3. Back at Bremerton for Saturday night's game, the Blazers broke
open a tight 3-0 lead in the 3rd with four additional goals to beat
the Vipers 7-1. The Warriors got a hat-trick from Mike Byers (9g, 21a, 19gms)
to pace Saturday's win.
Vipers downed at Tri-Cites- The Vipers dropped their 16th
straight game Sunday at Tri-Cities 8-4. The Outlaws rode a four-point effort
from Brett Myer (3g, 1a) and manhandled the shart-handed Vipers who utilized
just 11 skaters in the loss. Trey and Jalen Twigg accounted for all four Viper
goals.
