The Michigan Warriors beat the Johnstown Tomahawks
8-1 Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors capped off a great weekend that
featured a season high 4,014 fans enter Perani Arena.
In the first period, the Warriors received goals from
Brock Labelle, Luke Fiegl and Zack Szajner. Goaltender Trevor Gorsuch made 12
saves for the Warriors in the period.
The second period saw goals from Colin Larkin and
Levi Erkkila, which brought the Warrior lead to 5-0.
In the third, AJ Marcinek started the scoring and
Corey Schueneman and Jake Faiella, both of which were on the power play.
Moe Mantha has gotten the best out of his players,
and the Warriors are starting to gain some traction in the North Division.
Christ Truehl took the loss and made 10 saves.
Collin Brennan made 12 saves on 16 shots.
Johnstown has its next five games at home. Port Huron
will visit the Cambria County War Memorial Arena on Friday, January 11 and Saturday
January 12 and the Soo Eagles come to Johnstown Sunday January 13.
The Warriors will enter a series with the Kalamazoo
Jr. K-Wings.
