The top two teams in the Midwest Junior Hockey League won again Saturday night as the Hartland Hounds moved to 33-0 with a win over the Michigan Ice Dogs and the second-place Soo Firehawks posted another win against the Rhinelander Street Cats. At the Wayne Community Center, then Hounds scored three goals in an 84-second span early in the second period and that was all the momentum they needed in their 5-3 win. After Ashton Guy gave the Ice Dogs a 1-0 lead midway through the first period, Thomas Kerr (4:06), Scott Augustyn (4:25) and Alex Grizzel (5:30) put the Hounds up 3-1 in the second. Cam Miglia (two assists) and Vincek scored later in the period after Alex Stewart replied for the Ice Dogs. Corey Suba rounded out the scoring for Michigan with an early third-period goal. Andrew Brownlee made 26 saves for the win between the pipes. Andrew Freeman finished with 12 saves for the Ice Dogs and Hunter Ledgerwood added two assists. ********** Anthony Laaksonen scored once and added three assists in the Firehawks' 7-1 win at the Big Bear Arena. Alex Drulia added a goal and two helpers, while John Barlow and Matt Majic each recorded a goal and an assist to back Keegan McGraw's 20-save performance. Kevin Killips, Taylor McRorie and Tyler Goetz also scored and Andrew Holder registered a pair of assists. For the Street Cats, Denis Danilov tallied the lone goal and Kent Nusbaum finished with 61 saves in goal.
