Guelph Storm forward Hunter Garlent is the fifth player in the OHL this season to receive the league's Player of the Week Award for the week ending October 21.

In three games in as many days, the 17-year old native of Thorold, Ontario, netted three goals and added five assists. On Friday in Guelph, Garlent scored a goal and added an assist as the Storm beat the Sarnia Sting 6-3. On Saturday, he was named first star of an 8-5 Storm win in Saginaw as he posted a career-best four-point night with a goal and three assists and followed that up with a goal and an assist  in a 7-1 win in Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday with a third star nomination.

Garlent, who is eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, was the Storm's first round pick, 10th overall, in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
