Two games were on tap on a Wednesday night in the OHL. The Plymouth Whalers paid a visit to the Owen Sound Attack while the Belleville Bulls welcomed the Brampton Battalion.
Plymouth Whalers 2 (at) Owen Sound Attack 4
Jordan Binnington made 42 saves, including 20 in the second period, and four different skaters found the net as the host Attack doubled-up the visiting Whalers 4-2 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. The Attack got goals from Daniel Catenacci, Kurtis Gabriel, Joseph Blandisi and Cameron Brace. Riley Corbin got his second OHL start for the Whalers, but gave up three goals on 13 shots and was replaced by Matt Mahalak midway through the second period. Rickard Rakell and Cody Payne scored for the Whalers.
Brampton Battalion 1 (at) Belleville Bulls 2 (SO)
The Subban Brothers helped the host Bulls beat the visiting Battalion at the Yardmen Arena as Jordan Subban scored the shootout winner while older brother Malcolm made 31 saves. Brenden Miller scored at 13:29 of the first period giving the Battalion a 1-0 lead which they held until Brendan Gaunce tied the game with 78 seconds left in regulation. Matej Machovsky stopped 34 shots in the loss.
