Yea, I know, we are all tired of seeing Wayne Stirling Wright's name appear on the Daily Dish. In most cases, I'd have to agree with you, but in this case, what is about to be said, really needs to be said.

Dude is just stupid. Let me explain.

Stirling controls a gofundme.com page that is still requesting donations for a league that no longer exists; a $500 donation was made a month ago.

Wright, and his wife Petra, are still trying to recruit players to play in Pompano Beach, despite the fact there is not a league, schedule, or even insurance, for any such team.

Players from as far away as South Africa have been contacting us in regards to Stirling's recent direct recruiting efforts to get players to join the Pompano Beach team, never mentioning any trouble with the league or Amateur Athletic Union.

Tommy Pecoraro, an Ft. Lauderdale area teen that was recruited by the Wrights to be the Tropical Elite Hockey League's Communications Director, has now dedicated himself to inform others that have been recently recruited by the Wrights.

Pocoraro posted the following comments Tuesday on the TEHL Facebook Page:

This page is no longer run by Stirling Wright, I have removed him so that I can share with you all the truth about them. They conned everyone who invested in this "front" of a league.

Beware, Stirling and Petra Wright are still trying to con people into signing up for the Pompano Beach Prowlers. They are asking for $6,000 up front. After confronting them they deleted the Pompano page. Do note that  removed Stirling from his controls on this page. I am the sole admin (of this TEHL Facebook page)and want to show the truth about them.

The Daytona Beach Blaze and other teams however have long since ended any affiliation with the now-shut down TEHL. Do not give a cent to the Wrights, you will never see it again. They duped us all. An owner who I will not name lost over 10,000 dollars, taken by the Wrights and used for personal reasons. Other owners also lost thousands, and those of you who invested lost your money as well.

Yup, all gone, Stirling embezzled almost every cent from league funds. However some teams will still operate as independent teams with the AAU this year...

The league never was anything more than a front to begin with, however some teams have survived. Teams have separated from Stirling and are now running as independents with AAU certification. Stirling promises play in 2013-14 but it's a flat out lie.  It was a scam, a front made by Stirling Wright to steal thousands from parents and families.  http://www.facebook.com/TEHLHockey

If you think that Pocoraro is upset, wait until you see what parents in Great Falls had to say:

We have kept an interested eye on this Tropical disaster.  Thank you for pursuing this fraudulent person(s). Our interest in the Wright family started with a midnight phone call from Michigan about the Great Falls Americans job after a solid head coach, Matt Frank, was fired.  Dino Curcio, an old & unique friend, called us about Stirling prior to Stirling's call. It was a very one sided and pompous conversation about him, his goalie and the AWHL.

Stirling left a lot of our friends and potential hockey supporters at a "loss for words or actions." He even had the ignorance to pursue us as a potential buyer in Florida after leaving Great Falls and associates in a lurch, hmmm.

Perhaps we should have spoken up earlier; owning our own business, the plan presented to us from Stirling was absurd in a short period for the TEHL.  Not even smoke and mirrors, just garbage.

Buyers beware, but, with all these teams, coaches & leagues presenting enticing promises, many just don't do their homework to the best of their ability.  We remain discouraged by all this.

While I do not agree with all your points, I believe Knowledge is Freedom, so Read, Write, Think.  Therefore, keep presenting information.

We are economically well off and can afford to fail once in a while, however, so many of our friends are not.

The Wright's have even made Scambook.com

I know what I am writing are some serious allegations and the reason why I am writing is because there are several people who are confirming the allegations are real, but our family would like to know for sure.

I did not know who to call or how to submit such a statement asking for investigation, so I thought this was the place to start.

Here is what is going on: We signed our son up to play hockey for the Tropical Elite Hockey League, we had to pay $500 fee to the league so we can then be placed on our team. I have no complaints against the team my son was placed on, the Daytona Beach Blaze, actually, the owner of the team has been very upfront with us and keeping us updated on what will happen with the teams that paid monies to be a part of the TEHL.

The TEHL is a non profit 501C corporation. I have several issues with the Wright's. First, there are allegations from teams owners that the monies paid to the TEHL, under Wright's control were used for personal use.

Under the Corporate laws, monies given to a 501C cannot be used for personal use. The Wright's have paid hotel bills in excess of $6,000, rented a home in Daytona Beach and Mr Wright used 501C monies for a personal trip to Scotland.

The allegations are that $26,000 is unaccounted for. $500 of it our money paid to the league. The other issue I have is I looked up the Corporate information and on the 501C Stirling Wright and his wife Petra Wright are listed on the corporation, however, Mrs Wright listed her name as Petra Write. They claim this was a misspelling by legalzoom, however, when you fill out paperwork on legalzoom, the person starting the corporation is typing in the information and then you confirm the information before sending.

I wish I had concrete evidence of what is going on, all I know is that there is an awful lot of monies missing and we were misled by the Wrights.

It is my hope that these allegations be looked into and there is a conclusion of what is going on with TEHL.

It is also alleged that the third party listed on the corporate documents did not give permission to the Wright's to be listed as Treasurer on the documents.

Again, I would like to have all of these serious allegations looked into. Not only does it affect my 15 year old son, but it affects many of the kids that have paid to be part of this league and have moved to the Florida area to play hockey, many of whom are staying with guardians.

The Wright's were asked to handover their books to the team owners within 24hrs of being asked, as of today, it has been several days and no financial information has been shared with anyone.

At this point, what else needs to be said?

How about this, where in the heck are the local and federal authorities? How can the Wright's continue to operate and get away with conning hockey players without facing criminal charges? At this point, I'm speechless.
