Niagara IceDogs 2 Sudbury Wolves 0
At St. Catharines, Anthony DiFruscia and Mithcell Theoret provided the scoring as the IceDogs blanked the Wolves at the Gatorade Garden City Complex. Brent Moran made 16 saves after 40 minutes before giving way to Bo Bessette, who stopped all eight shots in the third period to provide the shutout.
Saginaw Spirit 5 (at) Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 3
Vincent Trochek registered a goal and two assists as the Spirit beat the Greyounds at the Essar Centre. Garret Ross, Dylan Sadowy, Andrey Alexeev and Justin Kea provided the scoring for the Spirit, who got 31 saves from Jake Paterson. The Greyhounds got goals from Ryan Sproul, Dylan Staples and Mitchell Dempsey while Matt Murray made 29 saves in a losing effort. The game marked the first appearance of Sergei Tolchinsky in a Greyhounds uniform.
Guelph Storm 2 (at) Barrie Colts 4
The Colts finished off the pre-season with a home win as they doubled-up the Storm. The hosts got two goals from Mark Schiefele and the game-winner from Andreas Athanasiou, while Ryan O'Connor also found the net. Mathias Niederberg provided the win as he recorded 26 saves. Justin Auger and Zack Mitchell found the net for the Storm, who got 48 saves from Garrett Sparks in a losing effort.
