The Dells Ducks are entering their second season in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. Having had a very successful first season which included a record of 20-24-4 for a total of 44 points. The Ducks also featured MNJHL League Most Valuable Player, Aidan Verbeke.

With those positives to build on, the Ducks went out and hired the highly sought after Head Coach Bill Zaniboni. The agressive move for the coach was just the beginning as the Ducks have been building their 2012-2013 squad since April.

Justin Gregory, is a high energy, highly skilled speedster. Gregory nearly captured rookie of the year honors in 2010 - 2011 as he posted 48 points in 47 games for the Eugene Generals after graduating from U-18 in Colorado.

Last season Justin battled some minor injuries while with the NA3HL's North Iowa Bulls, but it was not enough to keep the Tier II Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League's Kirkland Lake Goldminers from calling him up at the deadline. Finishing the year in Krikland Lake allowed Justin to gain valuable experience at the Tier II level.

Signing in the Dells this season made sense for Gregory. "Several schools in the mid west have the curriculum I am interested in." Said Gregory "The goal is to play college hockey while earning my degree. Playing in the Dells puts me close to schools that I am interested in attending, and knowing that schools are limiting their scouting budgets, getting closer to them made a lot of sense."

"Justin is a very good player. His speed and skill will cause problems for teams who try to match up with us." Said Ducks Head Coach Bill Zaniboni "He's an exceptional student, and we are looking forward to moving him back up to Tier II and on to an NCAA program. As an organization, we set out with one goal for the season, and that is to move players up as soon as possible."

Gregory will join a group of players being assembled from all over the North America, a group that has many in hockey circles talking about NCAA level players, and championship level skill.

Stay tuned for the next Ducks player profile as we move toward the 2012-2013 season.
