Spotlight Player: Chris Kerr - Junior Hockey News

Today's spotlight player is Chris Kerr of the Wenatchee Wild. Chris is a native of Penticton British Columbia. Before he played in Wenatchee he was playing in the BCHL for the Quesnel Millionaires. Chris notched 21 goals and 16 assists during the regular season.
DG: So Chris what are you doing during your off season?
CK: I am training in Calgary Alberta right now, on skills and power skating as well as off ice workouts in the gym. I work for my dads construction company in Penticton in the spring
DG: What made you decide the Wild over the others?
CK: They are a professional organization with great owners and the best fans in a beautiful city
DG: Where did you play before Wenatchee and what was the difference in the level of play?
CK: I played for 2 years for the Quesnel Millionaires of the BCHL! I didn't notice much of a difference in level , I would say the leagues are pretty comparable minus a couple high end NHL draft picks in the BCHL.
DG: How have you adjusted to playing away from home?
CK: Well im going into my fourth year at the junior a level so im pretty used to it now but my billets every year have been very accommodating
DG: What is your favorite thing about playing in Wenatchee?
CK: The fans in Wenatchee are definitely my favorite part , I've played in a lot of cities and none compare to the fans in Wenatchee
DG: How has the community reacted to you being on the team?
CK: As long as you give back the fans love you and here in Wenatchee we try to give back as much as we can as they do so much for us
DG: What is your favorite activity besides hockey?
CK: I enjoy working out , and anything at the lake in Penticton
DG: What series are you most looking forward to next season?
CK: Every game is as important as the next, however we always enjoy playing Fairbanks its a heated rivalry that's always a lot of fun
DG: What are your post Junior goals?
CK: To go play division 1 after this year.
DG: What are your thoughts on the upcoming season?
CK: I'm excited, I wish the season could start tomorrow, but when it does I'll be ready
