Pittsburgh, PA- The Eastern Junior Hockey League is proud to announce the selection of 2012 Most Valuable Player Jimmy Vesey of the South Shore Kings in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Vesey was selected by the Nashville Predators with the 66th overall pick early in the third round. The North Reading, MA, native played for the Kings last season, leading them to the Southern Division title with 48 goals and 43 assists. His 91 points broke the EJHL's single-season scoring record, set in 2007 by Paul Thompson (New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs) and equaled in 2010 by Chris Wagner (South Shore Kings). He will attend Harvard University in the fall.
Congratulations to Jimmy and the South Shore Kings!
