OHL Well Represented at Hockey Canada's U-18 Camp - Junior Hockey News

A total of 17 players from the Ontario Hockey League were invited by Hockey Canada to attend the Men's Summer Under-18 Team selection camp at the MasterCard Centre in Toronto from August 3-6.
Also included on the roster are 13 players from the Western Hockey League and 10 from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In total, 24 forwards, 12 defenseman and four goaltenders, born in 1995 and 1996, will have the opportunity to represent Canada in the upcoming Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, which will be held in Piestany, Slovakia and Breclav, Czech Republic from August 13-18. The yearly event is also known as the U-18 Junior World Cup.
Here is the list of OHL players that will be given a chance to represent their country:
Goaltenders: Spencer Martin (Mississauga Steelheads)
Defensemen: Chris Bigras (Owen Sound Attack), Aaron Ekblad (Barrie Colts), Darnell Nurse (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds), Jordan Subban (Belleville Bulls)
Forwards: Nick Baptiste (Sudbury Wolves), Jason Dickinson (Guelph Storm), Max Domi (London Knights), Hunter Garlent (Guelph Storm), Stephen Harper (Erie Otters), Bo Horvat (London Knights), Ryan Kujawinski (Kingtson Frontenacs), Zach Nastasiuk (Owen Sound Attack), Stephen Nosad (Peterborough Petes), Brent Pedersen (Kitchener Rangers), Nick Ritchie (Peterborough Petes), Brandon Robinson (Brampton Battalion)
The selection process was made by Hockey Canada scout Kevin
Pendergrass, Team Canada head coach Todd Gill (Kingston Frontenacs) and his assistant
coaches of the upcoming tournament, Yanick Jean of the Victoriaville Tigres (QMJHL) and Scott
Walker (Guelph Storm). Dr, Roy Diklich, Team Doctor of the Windsor Spitfires, will hold the same title for Team Canada.
Other OHL News: Peterborough Petes traded their 9th overall pick in the upcoming CHL Import Draft to the London Knights for their second round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, as well as their fourth round pick in 2014 and their fifth round pick in 2015.
