The Saint John Sea Dogs earned a needed night off with a solid victory over the host Cataractes. Saint John will face the winner of tonight's play-in match on Friday.

Result: 4-1 Saint John
Jonathan Huberdeau got a pair of goals and a helper to lead the Sea Dogs to a convincing 4-1 win over the host Cataractes. Things got rough in the closing minutes as frustration set in for Shawinigan.

Tie-Breaker Game
Shawinigan Cataractes (1-2) vs. Edmonton Oil Kings (1-2)
Shawinigan is going to come into this game with a lot of confidence after Tuesday's convincing 4-1 win over the Oil Kings. That may prove to be a mistake considering how difficult it is to beat a team twice in the same tournament. Edmonton is rested and ready while the host Cataractes will be licking their wounds from Wednesday's loss to Saint John. The Edmonton Oil Kings are going to advance to the semi-final.
