The Southern Oregon Spartans are proud to announce that forward Michael Tallo (Dallas, Texas) has an accepted an offer to attend school and play hockey at NCAA Franklin Pierce University.
Tallo was a big piece of the puzzle for the Spartans in the 2011-12 season. His speed and physicality, along with his defensive zone play proved to be very valuable in the Spartans success.
In 37 games with the Spartans, Tallo registered 12 goals and 14 assists to go along with 61 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Spartans, he played with the Dallas Alliance.
"Michael Tallo is the type of player that anyone would want on their team. He proved himself as one of the best two way players in our league. He possesses a tremendous amount of speed and physicality. A big part of Michael's game is that he takes just as much pride in his defensive zone play as he does in producing offensively. He takes pride in the small details of the game which is going to translate to a successful career at Franklin Pierce," stated Spartans coach Mike Stanaway.
