Game One of series set for Saturday, May 12th

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League today announced the dates for the first two games of the 2012 USHL Clark Cup Final series.  The best-of-five series begins this weekend with Game One on Saturday, May 12th and Game Two on Sunday, May 13th.  Both games will be played at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Green Bay Gamblers.

The Green Bay Gamblers advanced to the Clark Cup Final after sweeping the Indiana Ice in their best-of-five Eastern Conference Final matchup.  Green Bay, who earned the Anderson Cup for the USHL's best regular season finish, holds home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs and will host the first two games of the championship series.

It is the third consecutive year that the Gamblers have reached the Clark Cup Final series.  They defeated the Fargo Force 3-2 in a best-of-five series in 2010 to capture the third playoff championship in team history.  Green Bay returned to the final series last year and fell in four games to the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

The remainder of the Clark Cup Final series schedule will be determined at the conclusion of the Western Conference Final where the Waterloo Black Hawks hold a 2-1 series lead against the Lincoln Stars.  Game Four of that series is Monday night in Waterloo.
