JuniorHockey.com today announced that Spencer Johnson, of the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League's Ft Wayne Federals, has been named HockeyShot.com's National Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending February 26th.
Johnson recorded 13 points (5g, 8a) while also helping Ft Wayne go 3-0 in the final weekend of the regular season against Wisconsin. Johnson was given the day off on Sunday after amazing games on Friday (2g, 4a) and Saturday (3g,4a).
The 5'9", 165 pounder from Burnsville, MN has 56 points (14g, 42a) on the season in just 39 games, good for the #2 spot among GLJHL defenders.
