Rio Rancho, NM - The New Mexico Renegades are pleased to announce that they will be taking part in the first-ever Western States Hockey League outdoor game on February 4th, 2012 in Los Alamos, NM.
The 2012 Renegade Fusion Series will feature the New Mexico Renegades taking on the Cheyenne Stampede in the second game of their three game series on the outdoor rink in Los Alamos, NM.
Coach Gershon had this to say about the venue, "Playing outside will take our players back to their childhood when they would just grab skates and a puck and play for hours. We hope that many people will come out to watch and that we can make this into an annual game."
Gershon also commented that the Los Alamos Youth Hockey League and the City of Los Alamos have been extremely helpful in getting this game set up. "We hope this game turns out to be as good as other outdoors games have been."
Following the game, the Renegades will host a skate with the team for all attendees. The game will start at 5:30 PM and tickets can be purchased at the door for a general admission price of $3 each.
