The Empire South and EJHL South were back in action this past weekend, taking part in an EJHL Showcase at NESC in Massachusetts. Here's a recap of the action. Friday, January 6th Empire South: Salem Ice Dogs 5, Florida Eels 2 Five different players scored second half goals for Salem in the win, while Maxwell Barr stopped 31 of 33 shots. Jacob Long and Hunter Gonzalez scored for the Eels. Jacob Widmer and Travus McDonald split the game in goal, combining for 26 saves. Salem was 1 for 5 on the power play and 9 of 10 on the penalty kill. Bay State Breakers 3, East Coast Eagles 2 A pair of second half goals helped Bay State to the come from behind win. Thomas Colbert had a goal and assist for Bay State, Trevor Berman and Chris Magee scored for East Coast. Jake Berry had 13 saves for the Breakers, who went 0 for 4 on the power play. Scott Jackson had 28 saves for the Eagles, who went 1 for 6 on the power play. Philadelphia Revolution 5, Palm Beach Hawks 2 Kyle Jennings and Ryan O'Malley had a goal and assist each, Joseph Marshall had 17 saves for Philadelphia. Justin Anderson and Kyle Kohlhorst scored for Palm Beach, Bobby Dugan had 24 saves. Philadelphia went 1 for 3 on the power play and 2 of 2 on the penalty kill. Valley Jr. Warriors 2, Space Coast Hurricanes 0 Scott Morrison scored twice, Colin Soucy stopped 12 shots for the Warriors. Charles Ingram made 42 saves for Space Coast. Both teams were 0 for 1 on the power play. South Shore Kings 11, Palm Beach Hawks 2 Evan Jacques scored 3 goals, Michael DeBuccia had 2 goals and 1 assist to lead the Kings, John Smith and Vince Cook scored for Palm Beach. Brian Jacobs and Daniel Touzos split time in the South Shore net, making 20 saves. For the Hawks, Joey DiBiase had 34 saves. South Shore was 4 for 8 on the power play, Palm Beach was 2 for 6. Philadelpia Revolution 8, Space Coast Hurricanes 1 Sean Fleming had 4 goals and 3 assists for Philadelphia, while Michael Kitts made 19 saves. Tom Hammond scored the lone Space Coast goal, Ian Shidlofsky made 43 saves. The Revolution were 1 for 1 on the power play and 2 of 2 on the penalty kill. Jersey Hitmen 4, Tampa Bay Juniors 3 (Shootout) James Martello's shootout goal was the difference for Jersey, which got a 23 save effort from Jacob Carrey. For Tampa Bay, Michael Hirschauer had a goal and assist, Walter Stern and Daniel Fritz a goal each and Kyle Gertz had 35 saves. The Juniors were 1 for 4 on the power play and 1 for 1 on the penalty kill. East Coast Eagles 4, CD Selects 1 4 second half goals were the difference in the East Coast win. Joshua Stingley, Sam Banasiewicz, Matthew Burleson and Joshua Martinez scored goals for East Coast, Spencer Braswell made 36 saves. For the Selects, Michael Hass scored a goal and Cody Johnson made 22 saves. The Eagles were 2 for 4 on the power play and 3 of 3 on the penalty kill. Maksymum 3, Atlanta Jr. Knights 2 Maksymum got second half goals from Eli Gobrecht, Matt Meredith and Conlan Keenan to overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit. Jake Bryniarski had 28 saves for Maksymum. For Atlanta, James Ugone and Cole Stallard scored goals, Sean Davis 25 saves. Both teams were 1 for 8 on the power play. EJHL South: Florida Eels 2, NE Wolves 1 Yevgeniy Lymanskyy scored with 11 seconds left to win the game for the Eels. Joey Giambalvo also scored and Carl Boohower backstopped the Eels, who were 0 for 2 on the power play and 5 of 5 on the penalty kill. Riley Flanagan scored, Derek Spencer manned the goal for the Wolves. Atlanta Jr. Knights vs Jeannois du College d" Alma CEGEP No details were reported for this game. Valley Jr. Warriors 10, Space Coast Hurricanes 0 Brett Mason had 3 goals and 1 assist and Josh Woody had 2 goals and 3 assists to lead the Warriors, who got a 25 saves performance from Noah Klag. Parker Bonis made 35 saves for Space Coast. The Warriors were 0 for 7 on the power play, Space Coast was 0 for 5. Harrington College of Canada CEGEP 3, Tampa Bay Juniors 1 Thomas Vesely, Garrett Brazzier and Matthew Martin scored goals, Marc Terriault played goal for Harrington. James Gabrione scored for Tampa Bay, Chris Dylewski played goal for Tampa Bay. The Juniors were 0 for 3 on the power play, Harrington was 0 for 0. Les Dragons Du College Lafleche 9, Florida Eels 1 A six-goal first half boosted Les Dragons to the win. Raphael Cormier, David Charbonneau had 2 goals and 2 assists each for Les Dragons, Jean-Michel Dumont made 8 saves. For the Eels, Cody Peakman scored a goal, Carl Boomhower made 24 saves. The Eels were 0 for 7, Les Dragons 0 for 8 on the power play. Springfield 5, Palm Beach Hawks 4 A three goal second half, including the game winner by Tyler Bouchard with 1:17 left, plus a solid effort in goal by Linus Lundin boosted Springfield to the win. Matt Hartman, Pavel Rott, Filip Martinec and Nick Haase scored for Palm Beach, Brad Rocheville was in goal for the Hawks. Palm Beach was 2 for 5 on the power play, Springfield was 1 for 2. NY Apple Core 4, East Coast Coast Eagles 0 Chandler Long didn't allow a goal, John DeFeo had 2 goals and 1 assist for Apple Core, which was 0 for 5 on the power play. Christian O'Shea manned the goal for East Coast, which was 0 for 3 on the power play.

Florida Junior Blades 4, NY Apple Core 3
Troy Degler scored the winning goal for the Blades with just 1:22 left, as well as assisting on another goal. Eric Sugrue made 12 saves for Florida. For Apple Core, Joseph Naclerio scored twice and Justin Kaplemaster made 20 saves. The Blades were 0 for 4 on the power play, Apple Core was 3 for 6.
Salem Ice Dogs 6, Space Coast Hurricanes 1
Peter Nelson, David Spry and Daniel Duggan scored twice each and Bradley Radin was in goal for Salem. For Space Coast, Ethan Ozelius scored and Charles Ingram played goal. Neither team had a power play opportunity.
New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs 4, East Coast Eagles 1
Teddy McCarran and Taylor Vincent had a goal and assist each for New Hampshire, while Alex Devine made 15 saves. Dakota Beaulieu scored for East Coast, which got a 31 save performance from Scott Jackson. The Monarchs were 0 for 1 on the power play, East Coast was 1 for 8.
Frederick Freeze 6, Tampa Bay Juniors 2
Pierce McCaull had 2 goals and 1 assist and Kevin Russell made 17 saves for the Freeze, who were 0 for 1 on the power play. Tampa Bay got goals from Ryan Odgers and Ben Winter, plus 21 saves from Aaron Wise. They were 0 for 5 with a short handed goal against on the power play.

Brandon Harley with 1 goal and 1 assist, plus 22 saves from Sean Davis led Atlanta. Philadelphia was paced by Sean Fleming, who had 2 goals and 1 assist and by Robert Palzer. Both teams were 2 for 4 on the power play.
Florida Junior Blades 6, CD Selects 3
Ross Kovacs with 2 goals and Jospeh Keyser in goal, led Florida. Matthew Flynn, John Breen and Steven Petitte scored goals for the Selects, who had Matthew McLaughlin in goal. The Junior Blades were 2 for 5 on the power play and 5 of 5 on the penalty kill.
Potomac Patriots 4, Palm Beach Hawks 0
Dustyn Moyer made 10 saves and Travis Reece had a goal and an assist for Potomac. For Palm Beach, Stephen Sundberg made 22 saves. Potomac was 2 for 9 on the power play and 4 of 4 on the penalty kill.

Tampa Bay Juniors 4, Capital District 0
A 4 goal second-half was the difference for Tampa Bay, which got two goals from Daniel Clifford, singles from Chase Anderson and Daniel Trizis and 30 saves from Braxton Schulz. Joe Lynch made 30 saves for Capital District. Tampa Bay was 1 for 2 on the power play and 2 of 2 on the penalty kill.
