AJHL action continued on Monday with the Brooks Bandits traveling to Calgary where the Mustangs defeated them in overtime 6 to 1. Olds faced off against the Canucks with the Canucks prevailing 6 to 1. Tuesday had Drumheller taking Canmore 8 to 7 in overtime and Olds over Okotoks 4 to 3 in the extra frame. Wednesday had Bonnyville losing in OT to the Mustangs 4 to 3, Spruce Grove over St. Albert 6 to 1, Sherwood Park over Lloydminster 3 to 2 in overtime and the Brooks Bandits beating Camrose 2 to 1. The lone Thursday game had Olds hosting Bonnyville with the Grizzlys shutting out the Pontiacs 2 to 0.
Friday had 2 of 4 AJHL games decided in the extra frame with Lloydminster over the Canucks 2 to 1 and Okotoks over Camrose 2 to 1. Canmore traveled to Drayton Valley losing 7 to 3 to the Thunder and the Brooks Bandits defeated Grand Prairie Storm 5 to 4. Saturday had 2 games decided in a shootout with Sherwood Park defeating Spruce Grove 5 to 4 and Bonnyville over the Canucks 5 to 4.
The Brooks Bandits walloped the Drayton Valley Thunder 7 to 1, Drumheller beat Camrose 3 to 1, Grand Prairie over Canmore 3 to 2, Lloydminster over Olds 5 to 1 and Fort McMurray walloped St. Albert 7 to 1. Sunday had Lloydminster traveling to face the Mustangs where they lost 4 to 2, Bonnyville drove over Drumheller 9 to 3, Fort McMurray hosted St. Albert with a 7 to 2 win and Sherwood Park defeated the Bandits 6 to 3 in Sherwood Park.
AJHL action continues starting Monday with 11 games through this Thursday before the Christmas break and picks up again on Friday the 30th.
BCHL action continued on Tuesday with Penticton traveling to Merritt where they earned a 4 to 1 win. Wednesday had Nanaimo losing to Couquitlam 6 to 4, Victoria shutting out Cowichan Valley 5 to 0 and Surrey over Powell River 4 to 1. The lone Thursday game had Westside hosting Nanaimo with Nanaimo coming out on top 6 to 4.
Friday action had Prince George over Chilliwack in overtime 3 to 2, Penticton over Westside 5 to 1, Vernon in a lopsided 9 to 1 win over Trail, Powell River shut out Langley 5 to 0, Coquitlam trounced Alberni Valley 8 to 2, Surrey over Victoria 5 to 2, and Salmon Arm over Merritt 5 to 3.
Saturday had Prince George over Langley 4 to 2, Merritt over Westside 4 to 2, Surrey over Alberni Valley 6 to 5, Chilliwack over Salmon Arm 4 to 1, Penticton over Powell River 7 to 2, Cowichan Valley over Victoria 4 to 2 and Nanaimo shutting out Trail 5 to 0 in Trail.
The final games before the Christmas break were Vernon over Chilliwack 6 to 3, Powell River over Salmon Arm 4 to 3 in overtime and Surrey over Prince George 2 to 1.
Action in the BCHL will start back up on Wednesday the 28th.
