The North American Hockey League's Board of Governors is expected to approve a new expansion team for Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday.

Sources within the NAHL have suggested that the Pikes Peak Miners AAA Hockey Club will operate the NAHL team.

The Miners will join the west division. New Mexico is also likely to be moved to the West as the likely travel partner with Pikes Peak.
NAHL Commisioner Mark Frankenfeld has decided to reject the Colordao Springs application after the issues seamed to have been resolved last night.
