Daily Dish: More NAHL Expansion from Minot to Jamestown to Colorado to Texas - Junior Hockey News
Published: Thursday, 20 Jan 2011
Mark Frankenfeld has been a very busy man. With new teams directly linked to to his rapidly expanding net worth, he is quickly putting himself in a position to personally float the Caribbean Mariners.
The good folks in Minot are anxiously awaiting word on thier new NAHL team. A third sheet at the local rink is in the plans and the former AWHL market is ready for the NAHL. Got to bring back the Muskies.
Pueblo, Colorado is another city that is suppose to be on the NAHL expansion list along with a number of current Central Hockey League teams.
This one kind of came out of the woodwork, but the Jamestown Jets posted about thier possible award of a new NAHL franchise to go with thier Canadian Tier II team. One thing that quickly caught my eye, the Greater Metro Hockey League is decent, but I would not classify the league as Tier II Junior "A". As far as most are concerned, there is no such thing as pay to play Tier II Junior "A" hockey. Well, unless Barry Soskin owns the team.
What do you think?
