Weekend wandering, wondering

It will be a meeting of the minds when the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League holds its 2012-13 scheduling session in Sault Ste. Marie on June 15-16. Meanwhile, in the North American Hockey League, the minds have already met and ...

I have always said the 'NA' is under-rated and the USHL is over-rated. Good info Randy.

"A long-time, well-respected National Hockey League scout...The scout also opined that as far as commissioners are concerned, Mark Frankenfeld of the NAHL is the most-efficient and most-effective of any who are in charge of an American-based junior hockey league."

HaaHaaHaa, yeah right an NHL Scout!

Obviously this guy has absolutely no idea what the hell he is talking about. He needs to take in some of the knowledge that Heisler is laying down on Frankenfeld and the NA. Stephen needs to get in touch with this "Scout" and give him an education before he make any more of these foolish claims.

Mark is such a fantastic commissioner that he allows Curtale to tell him what to do, Brigl to steal from his players, and the likes of Mark Hammersmith and Barry Soskin were allowed into the league.

Great job Mark!!

Kirk, Steve,

Don't shoot the messenger. Just relaying what a multiple Stanley Cup champion head scout told me.

RR

P.S.

The scout in question is also entitled to his opinions, as you are, Kirk and Steve. I also think it's rude and shows ignorance to call someone's opinion foolish.

Just my thoughts.

RR

Guess Sarcasm just doesn't come across well in a post.

Kirk,

I guess not, man. Maybe you can re-post sans the sarcasm. Re-read your post to make sure all the words are in the right place. Because my take on what you said is that you were dissing the scout and chirping Frankenfeld. Otherwise, I never would have linked you with Stevie Wonder.

Regards,

RR

Randy, the scout you refer to praised Frankenfeld for his running of the NA. Heisler CONSTANTLY bags on Frankenfeld.

The sarcasm comes in when I stated that the NHL Scout who obviously is a Hockey professional A) did not know what he was talking about and B) needed to get an education from Heisler of all people.

Sorry you and Tony missed the sarcasm because Heisler obviously got it from reading his post.

Most leagues have issues with owners, managers etc. and I dont think its fair to blame Mark Frankenfeld for the actions of certain Owners.
Look at the NHL where former Owners in both Los Angeles and Buffalo ended up in Prison.

Stephen Heisler and Randy Russon may have oposite views on some matters but they are the mane reasons why I visit this site.

Tony,
I'd agree with you but... I know better.

Soskin- Entirely Mark's deal. Rumors of the pay-to-play scandal emerged during the first season and Mark did not act upon it. I broke the story in year two and he was forced to take action.

Hammersmith- Hammy was in completely over his head and never had the capital to properly operate the team. I told Frankenfeld back in October what was going on and was told by the league attorney to "mind my own business." The players continued to be abused for the entire season when Marky Mark could have stepped in in October to make sure the BS came to a halt.

Brigl- In this instance, Marky Mark backed Brigl's play to local Bismrck media. Instead of fixing the issue, Mark came up with excuses for Thom.

Curtale- The only thing I can figure out is that Tony must have some incriminating pictures of Marky Mark doing something. There is simply no logic behind the way that Curtale gets away crap and that others can't.

Good points Stephen but the man must do alright for the Owners to keep him around.
